Manchester City set aside £85 Million for Premier League star transfer
Premier League champions Manchester City have allocated a significant portion of their transfer budget to the potential signing of Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes. With concerns over workload for existing team members and insufficient cover for Rodrigo, the club aims to strengthen their midfield.
Guimaraes, who has expressed his love for Newcastle’s fans, is wary of damaging his standing among them. Despite this, Manchester City remains hopeful and are exploring various negotiation tactics, including offering players on preferential terms.
City’s valuation of Guimaraes aligns with the £85 million they were prepared to pay for his Brazil teammate Lucas Paqueta. A deal in this range would be favorable, avoiding the activation of Guimaraes’ previous £100 million release clause, which has now expired.
If successful, Guimaraes would unlikely join City’s pre-season tour in the USA, with Savinho, another recent signing, set to arrive in early August.
