Manchester City plot €30 million move for 11-goal Tottenham-linked teenage attacking sensation
Manchester City is preparing an official bid to sign Semih Kilicsoy, the 18-year-old attacking sensation from Besiktas.
Reports from Turkish outlet Aksam suggest that the Premier League champions are readying a bid around €30 million for the young forward, who has also garnered interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Kilicsoy, who recently established himself in Besiktas’s first-team squad, has impressed with his performance this season.
Despite not being the first-choice striker, he has managed over 1,700 minutes of playtime across 29 appearances, tallying 11 goals and two assists. His rise has also earned him a spot on Turkey’s under-21 national team.
Manchester City’s interest in Kilicsoy appears to be part of their strategy to secure versatile talents for the future.
Despite Erling Haaland’s strong presence in the frontline, Kilicsoy’s ability to play across different positions could offer additional attacking depth to the squad.
A potential €30 million transfer would set a record for a Turkish club, making the offer an enticing prospect for Besiktas. With both Manchester City and Tottenham vying for Kilicsoy’s signature, it remains to be seen which club will successfully secure the young forward’s services in the summer transfer window.
