Cristiano Ronaldo has weighed in on the thrilling Premier League title race, predicting Manchester City will emerge victorious over Arsenal.

The Portuguese superstar, a three-time Premier League winner himself with Manchester United, holds significant clout when it comes to English top-flight football.

Currently, City holds a slim two-point lead over Arsenal heading into the final matchday. While City is favored to reclaim the title, permutations exist where an Arsenal win coupled with a City stumble could see the Gunners snatch the crown.

Despite City’s recent dominance against West Ham at the Etihad (five consecutive wins), Ronaldo acknowledges the challenge Guardiola’s men face.

However, when pressed about the title contenders, Ronaldo confidently declared, “They [Arsenal] are not going to win the league.” He has previously expressed admiration for City’s playing style, even acknowledging their Champions League aspirations.

Ronaldo witnessed Arsenal’s strong performance last season, where they finished runners-up. However, he also experienced City’s title-winning campaign firsthand, a season where they amassed an impressive 93 points.

Ronaldo’s prediction aligns with most pundits who favor City’s experience and last-day performance history.

City has a proven track record of delivering under pressure, with victories like the 4-1 win over Brighton in 2019 and the dramatic 3-2 comeback against Aston Villa in 2022 showcasing their ability to get the job done.

With the final whistle of the season approaching, all eyes are on Etihad Stadium as Manchester City looks to secure another Premier League title, potentially leaving Arsenal runners-up for the second consecutive year.
